Born in Birkenhead on the Wirral, Bob liked Marc Bolan when he was little, then got into Alice Cooper; Frank Zappa and Led Zeppelin, playing bass and joining a band at 15. He worked abroad for some years and when he returned he played bass in Jeggsy Dodd And The Sons of Harry Cross, signed to Probe Records. Staunch has had a home studio since he was 19 and enjoys ambient music as well as some country and folk. Sound On Sound magazine has twice awarded him Top Tape, most recently in March 2001. Bob and Pete featured in SOS’s Readerzone in their September 2001 issue. Bob is currently recording again with Jeggsy Dodd. |
